Why is that in my days of being a pagan?
gave her someone special and when she told the person she was dating a pagan who believes in more than one god and not the christan god well u already know wat he told her and she got upset this was like 9hrs ago but she was to upset to tell me before but i calmed her down and told her not to worry about it that we will keep on having to face these problems she told me she's even happier than she's been and told me that our bond will never change we just need to try and get past the criticism but seriously why do people even care if a pagan and a christian go out when we're not trying to change each other (and i know i asked a question like this before) but any in sites on this?
The Word of God says to avoid unnecessary hardships and troubles one needs to to be "equally yoked" being of one belief. Eliminates future trauma among couples, and their children. Just a healthier relationship in the long run.
Most of the people that are criticizing you for calling yourself a pagan are hypocrites themselves. Christian only means Christ like or trying to be like Christ.
If those so call Christians celebrate Xmas, Halloween, New Year's Day, Easter, Valentine's Day then they are not true Christians of the Bible anyway, because all those man made holi-days are pagan. You can't find them nowhere in the Bible. They all have a biblical history (can be found in an encyclopedia/history books) that were not good at all.
They try and make them good days now, but just remember YOU CAN'T TURN PUSS INTO PUTTING!!!
Christians aren't suppose to judge you anyway.
just ignore them and stay strong with your girlfriend , eventually , they will just leave you alone .
I hate to say it, but in some areas of the USA it is best to keep a very low profile. Places like the Bible Belt are very vocal about anything that does not meet their standards (wrong as they are). I always had a problem with the phrase "equally yoked", like people were a pair of oxen! Love does not bind people with wood and chains, it binds people with a silken ribbon. Silk is stronger than steel.
Christians are a strange bunch, you never know which will be accepting of differences and which will throw rotten tomatoes at you.
I have practiced witchcraft for over 43 years and I am quite aware that if I told my Dad & stepmother that I am a witch they would actually disown me. My sister, a staunch Mormon, thinks it is cool! I have lost friends, but I figure that if their religion comes before friendship, they were not good friends to begin with.
I wish you well, my young friend, and trust that things will get better for you and your girl, just tell her to let all the negativity roll off like spring rain.

2) Too many people in this world act like this. Good for the two of you for caring for each other despite religious opposition.
We all face it. Some of us occasionally. Some of us daily. You just have to ignore it for the most part. Be the better person -- Ignore their attacks, be polite, and treat others well. Some people cannot stand it when the others around them do not act, dress, or worship in the exact same ways they do. You can't make them change.

Now calmly realize two things. First, if someone else has a closed minded attitude or a fanatical approach, this does not affect YOU and the way you relate to the cosmos.
Second, unless you acknowledge only a select few Gods and Goddesses, why not accept that the Christian God is just as valid as Thor or Osiris or Isis or Hecate.
The reason people worship Gods in a particular form is because the qualities of that Deity speak to us on a level common to many, if not al of us. We all have choices, "Crossroads" in life, so many of us can relate to Hecate when we run into indecision. Likewise, If we need strength, we can call on Thor, for example. These Gods are called Archetypes. Think of Christ as the Archetype God for compassion and love.
There is no reason why Christianity and Paganism are mutually exclusive, and if we wish to be true to our own values of tolerance, then WE must be tolerant of others as well.
I think ppl care because they might think that ur girlfriend would be influenced by you to believe in your faith and also possibly because they are offended that you don't believe in God...
That's just my guess i'm not much good at reading minds :D

Here's why: because they, like you, don't actually like to acknowledge how unlikely everything you claim to believe is. Seeing someone like you makes them realise how ridiculous they look.
