why are they so self righteous ?The feminist movement in America has become a dysfunctional ideology. It is shadow of it's former self. They act sanctimonious and as you have noticed, become belligerent when people question their beliefs. Because they are sexist. They percieve personal injustice and hate men in general for it.
Extremists are never open to criticism and questioning. Extremists are never willing to open their minds and think about it from anything other than their own point of view.Why would someone overcompensate based on inequality built into the the apparatus of society? The feminists in America showed their true colors during this election campaign. Rather than congratulate Sarah Palin for being the first GOP presidential VP candidate, they said every cruel thing they could think of. I did not hear one feminist applaud her.
They use to preach that a woman could have a family and a career but with Palin they said she should stay home with her children.
With the Life issue it is supposed to be the woman's choice but they didn't like the fact that she chose to have a baby with Down Syndrome. That was her choice but she didn't choose their way. Disagree with her politics but smear her? Shame on all of them.Dude, radical people in general aren't open to criticism and questioning. Religious fundamentalists aren't open to questioning of religion, people who don't believe that we ever landed on the Moon aren't open to hearing evidence to suggest otherwise, people who believe in astrology and other pseudoscientific things don't want to hear other opinions/facts that contradict their beliefs. That's just how it is. Radical extremists are totally not reasonable. The rest of us just have to deal, and do what we can to not put them in charge of anything important.It is because their feminist dogma can not hold up under factual data, therefore they attack, limit discussion, use deception and false statistics, and propaganda. It is clear that even in this so called open forum, if you post a question or an answer they think threatening, they will do everything they can to get it deleted. YA is notorious for deleting question and answers that do not support the dogma. It is a sad commentary when dissenting opinion is silenced. I think they're very angry, rigid, people. I know women who don't shave, don't do anything to make themselves look decent, even let their teeth turn black (not kidding) and get angry at anyone who comments cause they are "more than what the look like and it's sexist to comment on their looks." Eeech, like rotting teeth are 'liberating'.
And these same women are the first ones to lay down and play dead for the bully-boy boyfriends and husbands. They will dump their friends in a heartbeat if they try to point out the guy is a jerk, while waving their degrees like they're Shields of Power. They simply don't want to look in a mirror either in their personal life or for their appearance!Feminists are not open to criticism and questioning, because if you peer too closely you might see the cracks in their armour; the flaws in their theories, the holes in their souls.
Another thought, I've noticed that people who are self-righteous are usually running scared. Think about it...Perhaps because some of the things that are said hurt. They are sexist, self righteous, hypocrites. Anyone who criticizes them is never taken seriously at all because they want to hide like a bunch of cowards. They have never faced facts other than the made up ones they get from biased websites. They aren't open because if they were, they would all be exposed as frauds.
Edit: Expect to have this question removed. Most questions criticzing feminists mysteriously gets reported and removed. Imagine that.For the same reasons that radical anti-feminists are not open to criticism and questioning.
