I signed a rental contract with an agency when I thought I was going back to uni, however circumstances changed and I did not go back. The agency will not let me out of the contract unless I can find some one else to take my place, this is proving impossible. People are telling me that I can give 3 months notice and get out of a rent contract, is this true? Or can any body find me a way to get out of it. I get no money for my self at all and its getting me down!Read the fine print on your rental agreement. Was the agreement for six months or a month to month agreement? Normally, you forfeit your security deposit. They can charge you rent until there is a replacement for that unit if they are hard up for tenants.
Contact Fair Housing in your area after you have read your rental agreement again. You signed the lease and you are obligated to abide by the terms of the lease until either a replacement tenant is found or the lease expires.
People are telling you wrong. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
