NiMH rechargable batteries

  • Are NiMH rechargable batteries a good option?
I've got a Nikon N8008s, which uses four AA batteries. I've been thinking on using a set of NiMH rechargable batteries, but I'm not sure this will be fine for the camera. Any recommendations on these batteries? (I already have them at home. I normally put them on other devices... maybe now for my Nikon?)
    thanks!

  • Yes, definitely get rechargables. Get 2 sets, and always have a set charged and ready to go.

  • Do it. I use Sanyo 2100 NiMh batteries in my S20 Pro and my battery warning has just come on after an entire weekend and an evening of intensive shooting (about 500 frames overall).

  • Absolutely. Get two sets as said before and you cant go wrong.

  • two sets? I think I have 6 sets.. (just incase)

NiMh are great batteries! and are slowly going down in price too.. When I first got some in 2001 - they were $10/battery.. Now they are around $20/4 batteries!

Get some. and try to keep both charged so that you always have a spare/'>spare set when you go out..
