How is the american government corrupt and unequal?

    We are the ones who accept that being lied to is OK
    We are the ones wathcing sitcoms while we allow crooks to lead us to war

    WE are the ones who are corrupt and unequal. ITs a hard pill to swallow but WE the People have allowed Corporations who have no loyalty to any counrty let alone ours Tell our Represenatives what to DO

    Washington is powerless TRUE power is IN newyork on wallstreet
    WE are the ones who consume SO much that we place ourselves on the brink of extinction.

    WE Cant blame them WE each are responsible.
    Its easy to point ITs fun to point it gives us a sense of power
    pointing is no longer uselfull
    OUR only hope is for each of us to hold them acountable SHUT off the idoit box and embrace the spirit of revolution that our founging fathers were willing to hang for. WE need to recall EVERY elected official in office at this time and place them in jail. EVERY ONE OF THEM
    We need to start over.


  • Inequality is when you give one person 1dollar and another person 75cents for the exact same work.In the U.S. it is still common practice to pay you according to your race(or ethnic background). Employers do require from their employees a lot of times that their wages/salaries are not discussed among each other for exactly that reason. The banking system is allowed to charge you an arm and a leg for overdrafts, cash advantages, and loans, but don't have to give you an arm and a leg for your savings. In addition, the banking business has been deregulated so much that "anything goes" was the rule, allowing bankers to take your savings/investments and do risky speculations. This time around it backfired on them. Wall Street CEO's can make 300million dollars per year wheras the government requires by law a minimum wage of 6.85dollars/hour with no benefits at all, The government has given the wealthiest corporations(including oil corporations)huge tax breaks as incentives to "create jobs" but also encouraged outsourcing of jobs to further the profits of shareholders. There is a huge discrepancy between the average Joe and a CEO now. This corruption has spread into our government with rich, old, white males trying to run this country, using their position to pocket profits for themselves and make their buddies richer. Since the law says equal representation, would I say that the entire Washington community needs to go and be replaced with a truly eaual proportion of the people they represent: Indians, African-Americans, Hispanics, Chinese...etc. It is the unequal representation that allows these powerhungry people to continue as usually. I don't think there is anyone in Washington who truly knows what it means like to be "American Middle Class".
    The inequality has led to a socioeconomic discrimination that seems to be pervasive. Certain groups of people are just not able to climb up the social ladder(i.e.African Americans, Hispanics)where the white, republican, male has it easy to get to the top. Anotehr inequality that is practiced in the U.S. is the criminal justice system that allows by law that a judge can sentence a black guy for the maximum penalty whereas the white guy would get the minimum sentence for the exact same type of crime.

    I am caucasian, but you know what? If I had to go through this kind of inequality just because of my race, I think I would get very angry. Add to that how the system is set up---it is set up to LOOK like blacks are the only ones on welfare, the only ones that use drugs, the only ones that sell drugs....and I think that is absolutely horrible. Blacks don't have enough money for all those drugs, and furthermore, those who profit big from drug sales are the white guys(or Colombian ones), I haven't heard of a black drug dealer who got rich with it. It's not only black women who produce child after child, it is not only black guys who are in gangs, it is just ridicoulous how people in the U.S. are brainwashed to believe that African Americans are the root of all evil. What they don't realize is that it takes away from whites as well---because there can never be true friendship as long as there is this invisible race barrier created by a rich,white,old male, political environment......
